Kinesiology is a form of physical therapy and movement science

Kinesiology is the scientific study of human movement. We cover physiological, anatomical, biomechanical, neuropsychological, pathological principles and mechanisms of movement. Kinesiologists use stretching (We can use manual muscle techniques because we are also Registered Massage Therapists), strength-building, and biomechanical analysis to help optimize physical performance and treat injuries.

Featuring a Private Gym/Assessment area

1 on 1 Kinesiology sessions

  • We use a Kinesiopathilogical Model during treatments. This model is about how you move and how we can prevent and treat injuries based on movement patterns/ deficiencies.

Utilizing Biomechanical analysis’s, stretching, strength and manual muscles techniques (because we are also RMT’s).

  • Step 1) We recreate the pain your experiencing with movement.

Step 2) We then break down the biomechanics of the movement/skill. Making sure you are moving and engaging the correct muscles.

Step 3) We do advanced assessments for mobility imbalances and then work on increasing deficiencies. Since Morgan and Alix are Registered Massage Therapists we can utilize massage techniques such as Active Release, Fascial Stretching, Graston and other manual techniques for muscles.

Step 4) We then assess Strength. Muscles need to be strong in order to carry out the desired actions correctly.

Step 5) Everyone’s needs are different, we make a customized plan that will work in your schedule and with the equipment you have. This plan will consist of specific strength and mobility exercises to correct your imbalances and deficiencies to ultimately resolve your chronic pain and prevent unjuries.
