Chiropractic Care in South Edmonton
Evidence-Based Adjustments, Injury Recovery & Performance Optimization
At Muscle Release Massage, our chiropractic care is built around one goal: restoring proper movement, reducing pain, and improving how your body functions long-term.
Our approach combines chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy, and functional movement strategies to address the root cause of pain — not just the symptoms.
Whether you're dealing with chronic back pain, recovering from an injury, or trying to move and perform better, our integrated care model helps you get results that last.
Advanced Education & Expertise
You Can Trust.
Our chiropractic care is led by a practitioner with a Master’s degree in Sports Medicine and a background in kinesiology, including three years of advanced study in human movement and biomechanics.
This level of education matters because it goes beyond standard chiropractic training. It provides a deeper understanding of:
How injuries occur at a biomechanical level
How muscles, joints, and the nervous system work together
How to design treatment plans that improve both recovery and performance
How to prevent injuries from recurring
Rather than simply treating pain, this expertise allows us to analyze movement patterns, identify dysfunction at its source, and build long-term corrective strategies.
For patients, this means:
More precise diagnoses
More effective treatment plans
Faster and more sustainable results
This is especially valuable for athletes, active individuals, and anyone dealing with chronic or complex conditions.
What is a Chiropractic Adjustment?
A chiropractic adjustment is a non-invasive, evidence-based procedure designed to restore motion to restricted joints using a precise, controlled force.
When joints lose proper movement due to injury, stress, or repetitive strain, it can lead to:
Pain
Muscle tension
Reduced mobility
Compensation patterns throughout the body
By restoring proper joint movement, chiropractic care helps:
Reduce pain and tension
Improve alignment and biomechanics
Enhance overall movement and function
This allows your body to recover more efficiently and move more freely.
Our Chiropractic Philosophy:
At Muscle Release Massage, chiropractic care is never a one-size-fits-all solution.
We focus on:
Our chiropractor’s background in sports medicine and kinesiology allows us to take a performance-based, movement-focused approach, not just a symptom-based one.
Identifying why your pain exists
Restoring both joint and muscle function
Giving you the tools to prevent recurrence
Our chiropractic services are integrated with:
Therapeutic massage
Deep tissue massage
Fascial stretch therapy
Kinesiology
This allows us to treat the entire system — not just one area.

Why are we different?
We prioritize a higher standard of care by moving away from "quick-fix" models and focusing on long-term recovery through:
Patient-Centred Care: Your goals and comfort are our priority. We listen to your history and tailor every treatment plan to fit your specific lifestyle and recovery needs.
Longer Treatment Times: We don't believe in rushed appointments. By spending more 1-on-1 time with you, we ensure a thorough assessment and more comprehensive manual therapy in every session.
Integrated Corrective Exercise: Recovery doesn't end when you leave the table. We include personalized exercise prescriptions to improve functional movement and prevent future injury.
An Evidence-Based Approach: Our methods are grounded in the latest clinical research and proven biomechanical principles, ensuring you receive the most effective care possible.
Holistic care We focus on full-body wellness by recognizing that pain in one area is often linked to imbalances elsewhere in the musculoskeletal system.

Chiropractic FAQs
Is an adjustment painful?
Chiropractors use a variety of techniques ranging from firm manual adjustments to very gentle, low-force instrument methods. If you are nervous or have a low pain tolerance, your practitioner can adjust their approach to ensure you remain comfortable throughout the session.
What is the purpose of an adjustment?
A chiropractic adjustment is a non-invasive, evidence-based procedure that restores motion to restricted joints using a precise, manual force. This process reduces pain and muscle tension while improving your body's natural alignment and biomechanical function, allowing you to recover and move more freely.
Why do I hear a popping sound? Should I hear that?
The popping sound, known as cavitation, is simply the release of gas bubbles from the fluid within your joints. It is a normal, painless result of the pressure change during an adjustment and is not the sound of bones rubbing together. While common, the sound isn't required for the treatment to be successful—the focus is always on restoring proper movement.
You actually do not need to hear a sound for an adjustment to be successful and have huge positive impacts!
