Discover a modern, research-supported approach to soft tissue therapy in our comprehensive IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) Muscle Scraping Course. This training is designed to elevate your clinical results while reducing strain on your hands, wrists, and thumbs.Over 1 day online and 1 day in person, you’ll learn how to assess restrictions, improve mobility, release adhesions, and enhance tissue healing using proper scraping biomechanics and evidence-informed protocols. What makes this course truly unique is the hands-on opportunity to try a wide variety of IASTM tools—different shapes, sizes, and brands—so you can discover which tools feel best in your hands and work most effectively on your clients.
Whether you're a massage therapist, kinesiologist, chiropractor, physiotherapist, or movement professional, this course gives you the confidence, skill, and technique depth to integrate IASTM safely and efficiently into your treatments. Leave with a new level of precision, better body mechanics, and tools that support both your clients’ progress and your career longevity.

Our technique is proven from clinical experience and studies in the Sports Medicine Field to help the massage therapist and have added benefits to the patients. We have also taken special care and pride on how we deliver this information. The course is designed by Alix Claydon who also holds a Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Kinesiology, she has specialized in curriculum development. Alix is also an RMT with 12+ years experience.
We understand that each person learns differently. This is why we made sure we have incorporated Visual, Auditory, Read/Write, and Kinaesthetic teachings into our courses. Each ‘lab’ and demonstration is taught to small groups no more than 6 people per instructor.
During demonstrations we have written, visual, and reading steps on a ppt. During the labs the instructors are very engaged and help you with biomechanics and give you different ideas. We are confident we can help you learn and master Muscle Release’s Deep Tissue Hot Stone course in 2 days.

One day can sometimes feel quick, we keep our group sizes small—no more than 6 students per teacher. This allows for more personalized attention. However, since using the actual cups is a new skill, additional practice may be necessary. To support your learning, you can book extra time with Alix for up to two weeks after the course, either in person or via Zoom at no additional cost. We sincerely care about your learning and want you to be ready to use these skills in your practice!
Integrating Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) into your massage practice instantly expands your clinical toolkit and elevates the results you can deliver to clients. With precise, ergonomically designed tools, IASTM allows you to target fascial restrictions, chronic tension, and muscular adhesions with greater efficiency and far less strain on your hands, wrists, and thumbs — helping extend the longevity of your career.
IASTM enhances your ability to identify tissue irregularities, improve circulation, and stimulate the body’s natural healing response. By combining tool-assisted techniques with traditional massage therapy, practitioners can accelerate recovery, increase range of motion, reduce pain, and achieve deeper therapeutic outcomes in less time. Clients feel the difference, and therapists benefit from clearer assessment, more effective treatment, and improved long-term client retention.
